The Briar Patch Policies
Refund Policy
Memberships: We do not offer refunds on membership payments. You are responsible for monitoring membership payments and canceling/pausing your membership if you choose to do so. If you wish to cancel your membership, you must do so before your monthly renewal date.
Customers can cancel their memberships at any time through the Mindbody website.
If you encounter difficulties canceling your membership, please email us at hello@briarpatchsocial.com. Please allow a few days for our team to process your request. Rest assured, the cancelation date will reflect the day we receive your email; however, we do not issue refunds for membership fees paid before your cancelation request.
Special Events: We offer full refunds for these bookings if canceled one week before the scheduled event. To cancel and request a refund, please email us at hello@briarpatchsocial.com. If you cancel after the one-week cancelation window, we will issue an account credit that can be applied toward a future event; however, no refunds or credits will be provided if you cancel within 48 hours of an event. You may also transfer your event ticket to another family in place of a refund or credit.
Retail Items: Refunds are available for unused retail items returned with tags attached within 15 days of purchase.
Gift Cards: We do not offer full or partial refunds for gift cards.
Late Cancelations and No-Show Policy
A late cancelation fee of $10 applies to cancelations made within 4 hours of the class, playtime, or pop-up event start time or if you fail to attend a booked class or playtime session. For extenuating circumstances, please contact us directly at hello@briarpatchsocial.com, as referenced in our Health Policy.
Health Policy
At The Briar Patch, we prioritize the health and well-being of our community. Therefore, we request that any unwell children or adults remain at home to recover fully. If sudden onset illness prevents you and your child from attending a scheduled class or playtime session, you must inform us via email (hello@briarpatchsocial.com) as soon as possible. By doing so, you will be exempt from any late cancelation fees.
Should you miss a class or playtime session without prior notification, even in cases of illness, a $10 no-show fee will apply. This policy is in place to respect the potential waitlist of families eager to join our activities and ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate when spaces are available.
Guidance for Parents of Infants
We encourage parents of infants to seek advice from their pediatrician to determine the appropriate time for their child to begin attending classes and events. At The Briar Patch, we respect each family's decisions concerning immunizations and best health practices for their children.
Commitment to Cleanliness and Safety
Our dedicated team is rigorously trained in comprehensive sanitation practices for all surfaces, supplies, and toys. Maintaining a clean and safe environment is our utmost priority. Despite these efforts, the nature of communal spaces means that the risk of illness transmission, such as COVID-19, RSV, the flu, or the common cold, cannot be entirely eliminated.
By participating in any class or event at The Briar Patch, you acknowledge the potential risk of exposure to infectious diseases and agree to take responsibility for your and your child’s health. While we strive to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, The Briar Patch cannot be held responsible for any instances of unintentional exposure or related consequences.
By attending our classes and events, you agree to release The Briar Patch from any claims related to unintentional exposure or harm resulting from infectious diseases.
Allergen Awareness
For families with children who have allergies, please inform a staff member upon arrival each time you visit. This allows us to take appropriate measures to create as safe of an environment as possible for your child. While we make every effort to accommodate your needs; however, the ultimate responsibility for managing your child’s allergies rests with your family.
Footwear Guidelines
No shoes are allowed beyond the reception area (exceptions apply during private and special events). All guests over 12 months old are required to wear socks at all times—grippy socks are highly encouraged. Should you forget to bring socks, we have them conveniently available for purchase at the reception desk.
Photo and Video Consent Policy
By participating in any class or event at The Briar Patch, you consent to the possibility of photos and videos of you and your child being taken during activities. These images may be used for social media, our website, or other promotional materials to showcase the vibrant community at The Briar Patch. If you prefer to opt out of having your family’s photos or videos used, please inform an instructor or staff member at the start of each class or event. The Briar Patch is not liable for inadvertently capturing images where opt-out has not been explicitly requested.
